National Honor Society & Leadership

2012-2013 Leadership/NHS Group

In 2011, Kensington Woods was granted a charter by National Honor Society and inducted its first members in 2012. In 2014, Kensington Woods inducted its first members into the National Junior Honor Society.

Leadership is a group of students focused on being leaders in the school and the community. The students make a difference in the community by raising money for local organizations, like the Special Olympics, and setting up a Giving Tree that collected money for The Connection. Leadership also helps promote the value of character
at Kensington Woods by planning and hosting a New Student Orientation and serving as guides for new students and at Open Houses.

In 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, students planned and put on a free luncheon event for local senior citizens, in conjunction with FlexTech High School. They also planned school-wide events to raise awareness of the issue of bullying and how to promote acceptance in our culture and in our school.
